Warehouse Chaos

Was at a warehouse sale on Thursday and it was madness and chaotic. Have never seen sooooo many women nuts and desperate over skincare/cosmetics/perfume. Sooo many women and a few men - it was like few hundred were crowded at the closed door of the warehouse. The organizer even threatened to never opening the door until every queued in order get in - they finally opened the doors for not even a minute every 10 mins to let ppl in bit by bit. When there was an opportunity to get in ppl really, really pushed super tight just to get through that door. Good thing ppl around me smelled decent.

Finally got in and all the good stuff were already sold out in 1st hour of the opening. I see many women with huge bag of goods on the floor sorting out what they really wanted - (The take first and decide whether i want or not later strategy). I remember seeing the warehouse sale advert "ONLY 5 Items Per Person" but i guess that was never applied. Saw a few things i wanted but getting thru just to ask for it was a challenge. Saw the zig zag queue to pay which if was a straight line would have stretched the length of a field - aiya it wasnt worth the effort.

Why I still stood in the human sandwich of a line that was of a width of 15-20 ppl and the length of a few cars? Aiya since i came a long way for that might as well see what the hype is all about lar... hopefully some goodies but not desperate ;-)

Now I fully understand the rationale of why some named brands skincare/cosmetics/perfume have the warehouse sales "By Invitation Only"
