Good Samaritan?

Was taking the LRT some days back. The seats are filled as usual. It was another stop and the crowd got in. Sometimes it’s hard to discern if you should offer someone your seat.

Here’s why – a young lady got up from her seat to offer a lady standing in front of her a seat. The lady standing replied “Its ok, am not pregnant am just fat” in a laughing manner and “aiyo”-look like this has happened many times to her already :D Both we embarrassed for a moment – nevertheless it was a kind gesture of that lady who was seated to offer in the first place.

The lesson to me is:

  • Still offer your seat to any fellow passenger who needs it more than you even at the risk of a mistaken need/embarrassment
  • Ladies, don’t wear pregnant like clothes when you are not pregnant
  • If one needs to wear pregnant clothes despite not being pregnant – just take the seat offer anyway to allow a good deed to be done :D

ppl are so damn hard to please. you give them too much, they'd still say not enough, you dont offer, they say you've got a cold heart.
