19 Days and 18 Nights in China

T'was the longest leave I have ever taken and the 1st backpacking trip since I have started working.

The journey starts off at a quick transit stop in Beijing for a connecting flight to Urumqi. We took Urumqi as the start of the Silk Route with train travels and stops at Turpan, Dunhuang and Jiayuguan and all the way to Xian where the Silk Route ends. Then a flight off to Beijing for a relaxing last stop.

It has been an interesting journey and the best part of the trip was the opportunity to immerse oneself in learning and observing the day to day lives of the people there. More posts of the travel logs to come :D
